Annuity Case Manager
Job Description:

DMI is looking for a full-time Annuity Case Manager. This individual will work on the Operations team which is comprised of Life Insurance and Annuity Case Managers as well as Licensing, Contracting, and Commission Specialists. In this role you will take ownership of annuity case management functions (below) and build successful relationships with our customers in the process. 

 
Duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Training agents and their staff on how to complete Insurance paperwork / e-apps and ensuring they are aware of the appropriate forms to be used 
  • Thoroughly check all new business applications and in-force paperwork for completion, accuracy, and that the appropriate state specific forms are used 
  • Track the progress of pending business and keep agents apprised of the current status 
  • Resolve issues with incorrect or incomplete submissions 
  • Follow up on annuity 1035 exchanges and transfers 
  • Work with Insurance carriers to assure that business is handled efficiently, accurately and as timely as possible  
  • Keep agents updated with insurance carrier changes with regards to commissions, products and forms 
  • Verify that agents and their hierarchy receive the correct commission on all business submitted 
  • Maintaining accurate information and updates in our CRM, including but not limited to: 
    • New application submissions (updates/progress) 
    • Correspondence with agents/advisors/carriers 
  • Ensure that any contact information updates are provided to the appropriate DMI staff 
  • Work closely with the other departments to reach DMI’s goals and objectives. 
  • Maintain current knowledge of all products and changes for the Insurance carriers affiliated with DMI 
  • Build strong relationships with our customers 
 
Experience/Qualifications
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers 
  • Effective time management skills 
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks  
  • Capable of working independently, as well as in a team environment 
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) 
  • 3-5 years of insurance case management experience preferred 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Working knowledge of annuity products preferred 
  • Ability to communicate precisely and professionally verbally and written format with internal and external customers
