We are on a mission to grow — by expanding our team of wholesalers and recruiting more financial professionals into the DMI platform. We are seeking a dynamic, driven, and experienced Vice President of Sales to lead this growth phase.
Position Overview:
The Vice President, National Sales Director will be responsible for building, leading, and scaling DMI’s national wholesaling sales team (inside and outside wholesalers). This role will own all aspects of sales leadership: recruiting, onboarding, training, managing, motivating, and developing a high-performing team to recruit financial advisors and drive annuity and life insurance sales.
Essentials Roles and Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, and retain top-performing annuity and life insurance wholesalers (both inside and outside).
- Develop a national sales team capable of recruiting financial advisors and growing production.
- Coach, train, and develop wholesalers in sales strategies, product knowledge, and advisor engagement best practices.
- Establish and monitor sales KPIs (calls, appointments, financial advisor recruits, submitted business, placed premiums).
- Implement a structured sales process to drive consistency and scalability.
- Build a strong sales culture based on accountability, motivation, high performance, and team collaboration.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development to align messaging, advisor acquisition strategies, and lead generation.
- Analyze and report on team performance regularly to the CEO.
- Stay current on market trends, competitive offerings, carrier changes, and advisor needs to keep DMI positioned as a leading IMO.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in annuity and/or life insurance wholesaling.
- 3+ years of proven leadership experience managing wholesaling teams (inside and/or outside).
- Strong track record of recruiting and developing successful wholesalers.
- Deep understanding of the independent financial advisor and RIA marketplace.
- Excellent coaching, training, and team-building skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and manage KPIs.
- Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Comfortable working closely with CEO/President in a leadership team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation:
- Competitive base salary ($125,000 – $175,000 based on experience).
- Performance-based bonuses tied to team production goals (annuity & life premium placed, advisor recruitment).
